Over seven years ago, we met in church, but our story really begins in April of 2025. I had spent several weeks trying to seek God with my whole heart, and everything started to slowly change. After church on Easter Sunday, we began talking back and forth. Texting turned into dating, and we started seeing each other more and more often. He had been chasing me for years, but this time felt different.
The first time we met was back in 2019. He started attending Crossroads Assembly of God with his family, and I had already been a member there. I don't remember the exact day he started attending the same church, but I do remember the day he first talked to me. I had just gotten back from an event down in Kansas City called One Thing. It lasted an entire weekend, so I wasn't at church that Sunday. However, when I came back Wednesday night, I saw him waiting for me at my seat after church. Little did I know, he had just left a relationship and our pastor had told him about me. We went on a date or two, however we had both agreed we would just be friends. He didn't know if he wanted a relationship with me at the time, and I wasn't sure either. Crazy enough, we never did cut contact. Instead, we kept talking and somewhere along the way, we knew we had feelings for each other. He told me he loved me for the first time over the phone, and I told him I loved him for the first time while I was over at his house.
Justice never gave up on me, and I didn't give up on him. He proposed at the end of October 2025 at Wallace State Park, and I said yes! We are so excited to spend the rest of our lives with each other and celebrate with all our friends and family.
